Aquablation® Therapy
Aquablation® Therapy
IMP is dedicated to providing innovative solutions for men dealing with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). BPH is a common condition characterized by the enlargement of the prostate gland, leading to uncomfortable urinary symptoms. Aquablation® Therapy offers a minimally invasive and highly effective treatment option, designed to provide exceptional results and a renewed quality of life.
Why choose Aquablation® Therapy?
Aquablation® therapy can help with bothersome symptoms associated with BPH, such as:
- frequent urination
- weak urinary stream
- difficulty emptying your bladder
Where is the procedure performed?
The treatment is performed in a hospital and is done under anesthesia. The procedure typically takes less than an hour and involves an overnight stay.
What can I expect after the procedure?
After undergoing Aquablation® therapy for BPH, you’ll wake up with a catheter to aid urination while your urethra heals. Typically, patients spend one night in the hospital and the catheter is removed before discharge. If you’re unable to urinate independently, you may need to go home with a catheter for a few days or stay an extra night in the hospital.
Aquablation® therapy often allows patients to leave the hospital without a catheter. After returning home, you might experience mild burning during urination for a couple of weeks, which can be relieved with mild pain medication.
When can I resume normal activity?
You can resume normal activities once cleared by your doctor.
