Dr. Obedian is based in our Plainview Radiation Facility and sees patients in consultation at the Plainview and Lake Success offices. 

Dr. Edward Obedian is a Board Certified Radiation Oncologist. He has a vast array of clinical experience in the treatment of all forms of cancer, with particular interest in the treatment of breast cancer, prostate cancer, gynecologic cancers, skin cancer, and gastrointestinal cancer. Dr. Obedian is highly experienced in the delivery of Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), as well as Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS). These technologies are proven to ensure the highest level of cancer cure rates while minimizing side effects.

Dr. Obedian has been recognized as a leader in the field of Radiation Oncology, having delivered numerous presentations at national and international oncology meetings, including, The American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO), The American Radium Society, The International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society, The New England Cancer Society, and The Radiological Society of North America. He has appeared on the expert panel of a televised Colorectal Cancer special hosted by television news anchor, Roland Smith, and has added to the national literature on radiation oncology via numerous published peer reviewed journal articles on various types of cancers (see publication list below).

Dr. Obedian previously served as Associate Director of Radiation Oncology for Mount Sinai Services at Elmhurst Hospital where he also received specialized training in prostate seed implantation (brachytherapy) from Dr. Richard Stock, who is best known for treating former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani when he had prostate cancer. Dr. Obedian’s roots in the Long Island medical community run deep. Prior to joining the staff of ARC, he was on the faculty of the Radiation Oncology departments of both the North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System and Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip.
