Marc A. Schumer, MD, FACS
Associate Medical Director
Dr. Schumer is a Board-Certified Urologist practicing in Amityville, NY, and a founding member of Integrated Medical Professionals (IMP), where he currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board. He is the Associate Medical Director of IMP and chairs the Quality Management and Utilization Review Committees.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Schumer is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Urology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. His past leadership roles include serving as Chief of Urology at Brunswick Hospital Center and Medical Director of The Long Island Surgery Center.
Dr. Schumer earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University in 1984 and his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He completed his Urology residency at Maimonides Medical Center and pursued advanced research training at Columbia University, where he conducted a fellowship in molecular biology focusing on Programmed Cell Death. His research yielded multiple publications in scientific journals and presentations at national conferences. Notably, Dr. Schumer was awarded second prize in the Ferdinand Valentine New York State Urologic Essay Contest for two consecutive years.
